Membership of IFA is open to individuals and corporations alike. Members are entitled to participate in conferences, seminars being organized by the India Branch and the Regions at the concessional delegation fee. They will also be entitled to participate in the courses conducted by the IFA- India Academy at the concessional participation fee. In addition, they are entitled to register for the Annual Congresses organized by the IFA at a reduced rate. Members of the IFA also receive free of charge the two volumes of the Cahiers published annually and the Congress Invitation Programme. Corporate members may send two delegates to the annual Congresses and are consequently supplied with two sets Cahiers and two Congress Invitation Programmes. As an extra service, online versions of the IFA Cahiers as from 1980 have been made available on the website of IFA's Sister Organisation, the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in Amsterdam. IFA members in "good standing" (i.e. having no arrears in their annual membership fees) can access these publications free of charge via the secured section of the IFA website. The Cahiers are also available for IFA members in Epub format. One of the advantages is that new Cahiers will be made available on the Internet as soon as the printed books are available, i.e. annually on June 15. Notwithstanding this additional service, at least for the time being IFA will continue to meet the demand of its members by publishing the Cahiers in book form.
Accessible to IFA members only are the Documents Databases and the List of IFA members, which are available on the secured part of the website.
The List of Members contains the names and addresses of all IFA members, including applicants for membership who will be admitted at the next Annual Congress. The list contains more than 12,500 addresses which are updated daily on the basis of information supplied by the IFA Branches, or otherwise.
